You're already a diver but you're just itching to learn more! Well hold on tight, because Advanced Scuba Camp is about to begin! This isn't just the Advanced Open Water Course, because you're not learning just one certification, you're about to earn 3 PADI certifications! In order to do that, you're not just doing five dives, in this program you'll complete 10 scuba dives!
The program includes all of your training materials, use of all scuba equipment, entry fees, and Certification fees
You'll need to have mask, fins, snorkel and boots for this program.
This fun day camp also includes lunch each day and Friday Funday, a trip to Blue Grotto or Devil's Den in Williston Florida. What You Learn
The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:
- Knowledge Development to understand basic principles of deep-diving, underwater navigation, search and recovery, dive propulsion vehicle, peak performance buoyancy, and underwater photography.
- Confined Water Dives to learn Buoyancy skills, and using an underwater camera.
- Open Water Dives everyday to learn and explore!
To enroll in Advanced Scuba Camp, you must be:
- Certified as a PADI Open Water diver, Junior Open Water diver or equivalent
- Be a comfortable swimmer.
The Fun Part
- Be in reasonably good health. (a medical release may be required for some students.)
Learning new diving techniques is fun and exciting. In this program you'll learn techniques to help you in underwater navigation, deep-diving, and search recovery. You'll also expand your scuba skills to include Peak Performance buoyancy, enjoying every dive perfectly-weighted and gliding inches above the bottom. To top it off, we will delve into the fine art of underwater photography. Maybe you'll be the next Spielberg!
During the course, you'll make two pool dives, eight dives at Hudson Grotto and two dives at Blue Grotto or Devil's Den under the supervision of your PADI Instructor.
During the course you'll earn the PADI Advanced Open Water certification, the Peak Performance Buoyancy specialty and the Digital Underwater Photography specialty. The Scuba Gear You Use
At Advanced Scuba Camp , you'll continue to learn to use basic scuba gear and standard accessories. You'll also learn how to use lift bags, dive propulsion vehicles and digital underwater cameras. The equipment you wear will be chosen by a SCUBA WEST Representative to ensure your comfort throughout the course.FAQS

The Learning Materials You Need
You'll begin your Scuba West Journey with home-study materials for the Advanced Open Water course, Digital Underwater Photography specialty and Peak Performance Buoyancy specialty.
PADI's materials cover what you need to know about advanced scuba diving skills, terminology and safety procedures. For each concept you'll read a description and watch a video demonstration. Then you'll enjoy learning the skills with your instructor.
In 2019, Scuba West offers 2 programs during June and July. We limit the camp to only 8 divers. Students need to pre-register to begin their home study.
