The Lost, Mysteriously Aquatic, Mystical and Magical Chalise
So you say you don't believe in magic. That it's all just a bunch of smoke and mirrors put on by someone who knows the tricks of illusion. Well......what if I were to tell you I knew someone who knew this fella that was told by a good friend of this other guy who was a really good friend to this one trust-worthy gal who knew the exact place where all of the world's magic originated. They had witnessed first-hand how magic came to be in the world of men and women. What would you say to that?? I know it's hard to believe what you are now reading, but I swear on a stack of technical dive books that what you are about to learn is as true as the sun rising in the morning.
It all began one moon-less day about that long ago in what was known as The West Centrals near to but not quite at the spot you are now standing or sitting or reclining or whatever the case may be.....anyway......along about t
his time there lived a witch or maybe a WHO I can't exactly remember now if it was one or the other, seems I get a bit confused about some of the facts since what I learned was so intense my brain is still trying to make sense of it a
ll. But....if you would quit interupting me and let me continue I will
try my best to tell the story just the way it was told to me.
Like I was saying it all began one moon-filled night deep in the woods where no-one goes (cause you can't quite get there from here) for fear of being swallowed up by all the creepy-crawlies that go BUMP in the night. You see, at that time in our long ago history, people were very afraid of all the things that go BUMP in the night way back then so they never ventured far from home. But, if you would be so kind, PLEASE, let me get back to my story.......
It seems there was this one couple who just couldn't get their curiosity about the world around them under control, try as they might, they just could not ignore their inner itch for wandering and experiencing the wonders of the world. Such as it was they were always going on excursions to far away lands and places. When they came home they would tell all their friends and relatives what wonderful and enchanting places and things they had encountered while they were away on their trips.
Well let me tell you all their friends and relatives would just stare at them dumb-founded like they had lost all their senses and reason. Wondering to themselves if their friends had not indeed competely lost their minds. "Aren't you afraid of being turned into something ungodly and terrifying?" they all would ask in amazement. To which the couple would reply in unison and four-part harmony, "Long ago and far away we found, in our travels, the One True Mystical Chalise from where all the known magic of mankind began. It cannot be trumped by any other magic of any kind so we are safe as long as it is in our posession." They would politely explain to those who voiced their concern for the couple.
Life was kind to them and they would go on one adventure after another always making sure to have the One True Mystical Chalise in their posession so no harm would ever come to them. One day however as they were gathering their things together for another wonderful trip they could not, no matter how much they turned their home upside-down, find the One True Mysical Chalise. It had simply vanished.
The couple was so upset over losing their prized Talisman. For them time seemed to stand still and had no purpose. They could not find it in their hearts to go on any of the wonderous adventures that for so long had been a big part of their every day lives. Maybe since it was the ultimate Magical Talisman it held the power to up and disappear never to be seen again.
Then one day one of their youngest grand kids came to them with exciting news, some one had found their beloved and mystical Chalise. At first it was not clear how it came to be that the Chalise that they thought was theirs and only theirs would wind up in someone else's hands.
After doing some research and asking too many question to count, the couple figured out that the Mysteriously Aquatic, Mystical and Magical Chalise could in fact lend it's self to others for awhile. Just as mysteriously vanish and move on, not quite in a puff of smoke, but more like bowing out at the end of a difficult scene when no-one is looking to closely. Preferably with no mirrors around to record for posterity just how elusive the Mysteriously Aquatic, Mystical and Magical Chalise could be if it so chose. Anyway...
The couple was so excited to hear this they lapsed into a coma never to be heard from again.
WHAT!!!!! HA! HA! HA!
Just seeing if you are paying attention..., but seriously they gathered up all their traveling gear and set out to be united with their Talisman. Alas, that was not to be for when they did finally find where the Mysteriously Aquatic, Mystical and Magical Chalise now resided it was found at a local diving shop (of all places) and the owner was using it.... as..... a...... game!! piece!!!!! Holy Mared... to get people in the water to dive, work on their skills and have fun looking for the Mysteriously Aquatic, Mystical and Magical Chalise?????? Then as a bonus when the divers would find it they got written permission to have a free day of diving another time at the dive site.
Knowing what they knew about the Chalise the couple couldn't bring themselves to ask for it back. Since the Chalise it seems had found a home for awhile, at this particular dive shop, and if that was good enough for the Chalise it was good enough for them. So they let it be as it was.
Find the magic Chalice in Hudson Grotto, bring it to the front desk and your next day of diving at Hudson Grotto is free!
